EFT and TAI for Releasing the Past

Session Recap with Mrs. L.

Problem: Emotionally intense childhood memory. Intention: To release the past and find harmony within herself and with others.

Method Explanation and Consent: Mrs. L. agreed. Initial Focus: She chose a recent emotionally charged memory but did not describe it.

Observing the Scene’s Sensory Components:

  • Physical Reactions: Deep sobbing, tears, facial tension, difficulty speaking.
  • Emotional Reactions: Sadness and fear.
  • Activation Intensity: 7-8/10.

1st Round of EFT:

After applying EFT, the intensity reduced to 2-3/10. A thought emerged: “I can let go.”

Reactions to the Thought:

  • Physical Reactions: Tightness in the throat and solar plexus, shallow breathing, neck tension, chest blockage.
  • Emotional Reactions: Fear, sadness, shock.
  • Activation Intensity: 5/10.

1st Round of TAI:

Before starting, Mrs. L. was guided to breathe deeply and say, “I am Origin.”

1st Dantian:

  • Placing her hands over her lower abdomen, she stayed in contact with the thought.
  • Repeated: “I reclaim my power and release the energy crystallized in this thought and all it represents for me.”

2nd Dantian:

  • Placing both hands on her heart, she repeated: “I release all identification and attachment to this thought and everything it represents for me.”

3rd Dantian:

  • With two fingers on her forehead (third eye), she repeated: “I generate order and coherence within me here and now in relation to this thought.”

Representation Evolution:

A memory involving her grandmother emerged, where she saw herself “behind the door.”

Reactions to the New Representation:

  • Physical Reactions: Palpitations, tears, tense shoulders, restricted breathing.
  • Emotional Reactions: Sadness.
  • Activation Intensity: 7-8/10.

2nd Round of TAI (same process with “scene” instead of “thought”):

The representation evolved again.

  • Physical Reactions: Calm, abdominal movements.
  • Emotional Reactions: Touched and moved.
  • Thoughts: Gained clarity, awareness, and connections.
  • Activation Intensity: 5/10.

3rd Round of TAI (same process):

A symbol emerged.

  • Physical Reactions: Openness, tears.
  • Emotional Reactions: A mix of sadness and wonder.
  • Thoughts: Continued clarity and insight.
  • Activation Intensity: 7-8/10.

4th Round of TAI (same process):

The symbol became less prominent.

  • Emotional Reactions: Calm.
  • Thoughts: “It’s the end of a cycle.”
  • Activation Intensity: 3-4/10.

Process Closure:

With hands crossed over her chest, she repeated: “I align all my systems to the ongoing change” and “I align all my systems to my new awareness.” She was instructed to repeat these phrases in the following hours and drink plenty of water.

Debriefing After the Session:

Mrs. L. felt more awareness and clarity, noting, “Everything connects,” and expressed surprise at the unexpected emotional links.

Follow-up (One Week Later):

Mrs. L. reported: “I let it happen, no significant aftereffects, feeling lighter and more dynamic over the next three days. It’s like I’ve put down a heavy suitcase. Thank you.”
